Het bureau werd in 2013 opgericht door Marie Lema\u00eetre, Val\u00e9rie Bourgeois en Andrew Vassallo, met als voornaamste missie hun uitgebreide netwerk en ervaring ten dienste te stellen van merken om aandacht te genereren via de juiste kanalen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hebben het earned-first denken de afgelopen jaren aan belang zien winnen\u201d, aldus het bureau. \u201cOnze filosofie vertrekt vanuit de idee dat merken hun klanten moeten helpen of entertainen, in plaats van ze lastig te vallen met ongeschikte campagnes en PR-inspanningen waar ze niets aan hebben. We moedigen onze merken dan ook aan om PR een prioritaire plaats in de marketingmix te geven om vervolgens met creatieve earned concepten te komen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earned is in deze aanpak geen kers op de taart, maar de spil die mee richting geeft aan de rest van de campagne. Daarom zitten de experts van Walkie Talkie ook liefst mee aan tafel bij elke briefing, om aldus vroeg in het proces mee de rest van het communicatietraject uit te werken: vertrekkende vanuit de earned strategie, met toevoeging van de paid kanalen.<\/p>\n<p>Het bureau telt ondertussen 23 meertalige experts \u2013 onder wie zes nieuwe krachten sinds 2021 &#8211; verdeeld over zes gespecialiseerde hives. Samen verwezenlijkten ze het afgelopen jaar een omzetgroei van 25% tegenover 2020; in vergelijking tot 2019 slaagde Walkie Talkie erin zijn omzet meer dan te verdubbelen.<\/p>\n<p>Ter illustratie van hun vakmanschap vermelden we nog dat het bureau mee aan de wieg stond van creatieve campagnes voor BBDO, mortierbrigade, LDV United, Bonka Circus en Happiness, om er maar een paar te noemen.
