Agency of the Year: the 2023 edition is launched
Co-organised by MM and PitchPoint, the Agency of the Year 2023 is taking off with a slightly revised formula to refine the scoring criteria (as explained here) and to give even more value to the winners.
Anja de landsheer: “As PitchPoint, we know that the agencies are made up of slim men, strong skills and competencies, effective operating models, slim strategies for business development and a drive for innovation to ensure that the market is relevant and successful. The quality of the large number of dossiers is also a result of the fact that we have to list the finalists and give them an award in each category.
In this respect, the great novelty of the award for communication agencies is the introduction of Bronze, Silver and Gold in the seven categories: AOTY, Best Newcomer, Most Entrepreneurial, Innovator, Specialist, Best Place to Work and Positive Impact. This means that each finalist (i.e. the agency whose application has obtained at least 70% in the first round, before the live presentation in front of the jury) will win at least the Bronze in its category.
As last year, the 2023 jury will be chaired by José Fernandez (D’Ieteren) and mainly composed of advertisers: Isabel Broes (Delhaize), Florence Coppenolle (Pairi Daiza), Steven De Backer (MeDirect), Catheryne Closset (Stellantis), Mélanie Decelle (Spadel), Aurore Devos (Disney), Els Lagrou (Albert Heijn), Ils Neuts (Telenet), Sylvie Vandevelde (Itsme), Hendrik Van Steendam (Lotus Bakeries) and Sofie Verstreken (DPG Media). In addition, Johan Vandepoel (ACC), Martine Ballegeer and Anja De Landsheer (PitchPoint), Griet Byl, Damien Lemaire and Fred Bouchar (MM).
The deadline for submissions is 6 February 2023. The finalists will be announced on 6 March and the live presentations of the winning entries will be held on 21 March.
The award ceremony will take place on 30 March at the Spirito in Brussels, and will be preceded by a series of debates bringing together the finalists and the members of the jury on various themes related to the evolution of the industry. These debates will be held at the UGC Toison d’Or, a stone’s throw from the Spirito.
Incidentally, MM will take advantage of the AOTY 2023 evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its publisher, Marcom World.
